London Edge afterparty - Shepard's Bush Empire
London Edge layed on an after party at Shepard's Bush Empire, a stage filled with alternative acts including dancing with pythons, burlesque performances, piercing with roses and all manner of alternative entertainment. With the place packed with people and free food and drink it was a great way for exhibitiers to wind down at the end of a long day trading.

running studio alone!...
Have been given keys, alarm code and computer passwords to the studio and the responsability to open up in the morning and run the studio all day while the other assistant is at meetings all day and Tim is in Ohio giving a talk.
Really nice to be trusted with the studio and keys on my own after only a week and a half assisting.

Teaching/shooting + Roubi L'Roub Gala concert shoot
Day:
Shot for marketing department for the University of East London, corporate style shots in office situations, also taught some of the marketing staff at the same time techniques for shooting in this style/environment.
Evening/Night:
Shot event photography for Roubi L'Roubi's (London fashion designer)Gala concert at St Magnus the Martyr next to London Bridge. Brilliant musicians wearing Roubi's stunning clothes and a very interesting and creative crowd of people made for a great night. As well as being hired to shoot I was also a guest so sampled a very international buffet and champaign with a guest of my own.
photos to come...

Building work, Grange Hill, London
The joy of being freelance is being able to take on any jobs that pay the bills. Got a call from a mate who's a builder and part time photographer. He was a man short for a job ripping up and re concreting a garage in Grange Hill.
Spent the whole day shoveling, drilling, lifting, digging etc... really nice and refreshing to be doing a manual labour job

Start up business meeting
Although I feel my photography is at a professional level I don't feel I have enough business skills to deal with that side of being a full time freelancer. I have been calling round and researching start up business advice and found a great government funded institution in based in Stratford. I went in and had a talk with Jim Price and he gave me some great pointers and advice and enrolled me in a 4 day business course in January so I can learn more about things like: Finances, correct invoicing, taxes, business accounts, inland revenue, VAT, marketing, business planning etc etc.... Looking forward to it and really want to do things right from the start and get into good habits.

Uni Graduation ceremony
I graduated from my Uni degree with a BaHons 2:1 and had my graduation ceremony today at the Barbican centre. Scary walk along the stage with thousands of people watching but a great way to end the course and last time to see all my uni mates before everyone goes their separate ways.

Storm Thorgerson exhibition private view, Hampstead
Visited 'New End Gallery' in Hampstead for the private view of Storm Thorgerson's work, the photographer/artist who did the Pink Floyd album covers among others. Was brilliant to see the work up close in person and the complexity and technical preciseness of the manipulations.
