Visited 'New End Gallery' in Hampstead for the private view of Storm Thorgerson's work, the photographer/artist who did the Pink Floyd album covers among others. Was brilliant to see the work up close in person and the complexity and technical preciseness of the manipulations.
Shot a boxing tournament in Bexley Heath. Shot my first knock out, the guy hit the deck right next to me as I was shooting right at the ropes and was knocked out for about 2 minutes, the whole room was tense wait waiting for him to gain conciousness. Shocking.
'Documentary in which singer Alesha Dixon, concerned about the increasing pressure on women to conform to an ideal body type, investigates the practice of airbrushing and retouching that has become a staple of magazine photos. Keen to discover whether these images just celebrate the female form or whether they make harmful, unrealistic demands on women and society, her journey sees her sitting in on 18-year-old Ellie's boob job and appearing on a front cover with her own body beautiful untouched'
Photographed 15 boxing bout's at Dollis Hill including 2008 Olympic boxing gold medallist James DeGale. Was a really intense experience being right in on the action at the ropes.
Visited Photographer Tom Leighton's Exhibition private view at the 'Maveric Showroom' gallery in Old Street as the launch of Photo Month in London. Great to finally see his work up close in person and have a chat to Tom about his work.
